According to the  StreetEasy April 2019 Market Reports,  the New York City sales market may be strengthening. This news comes after months of weakening prices across the city, rising share of price cuts and growing days on market. Nearly 1,200 Homes Entered Contract in Manhattan This April The context:  The number of pending sales in Manhattan rose by 26.6% year-over-year to 1,193 in April. REAL ESTATE AGENTS- TRANSFER AND MANSION TAX INCREASES WILL AFFECT YOUR CLIENTS' TRANSACTION COSTS   Effective July 1, 2019, all real estate closings in the State of New York will be affected by the recent increases in the transfer and mansion taxes but the new law will not apply to conveyances made pursuant to binding contracts entered into on or before April 1, 2019 even if the transaction closes after July 1, 2019.
